Uganda Responsible Investment Award (2014)
For a second year running, ROKO Construction Limited has won, yet again the 2014 Uganda Responsible Award (URI Award) in the category Best Building Construction Company. The year’s award which was received by Roko Chairperson Board of Directors, Mrs. Jean Koehler and the Managing Director Mr. Mark Koehler was presented by H.E The President of the Republic of Uganda Mr.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Imperial Royal Hotel on 27th June 2014. As has been in previous years, The Uganda Responsible Investment Award-URI AWARD has maintained its purpose as being to Honor top Responsible Investments in Uganda that promote and uphold International best practices and standards in their day to day operations. This year we would like to share this award with our different stake holders and clients for consistently upholding us as the best construction company year in and out. Uganda Responsible Award (2013)
ROKO construction Limited has won the 2013 Uganda Responsible Award in the category Best Building Construction Company. The 2013 Uganda Responsible Investment Award-URI AWARD is intended to Honour top Responsible Investments in Uganda that promote and uphold International best practices and standards in their day to day operations such as:- Respect for Internationally proclaimed Rights of workers, elimination of discrimination in respect of occupation and employment, work against all forms of corruption including extortion and bribery, productive corporate social responsibility, existence of active workers associations, environmental protection, payment of Taxes, offering quality products and services, respecting public procurement guidelines, etc as defined in various international treaties and conservations such as; United Nations Millennium Declaration, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Kyoto protocol, the 10 universal principles of the United Nations Global compact, the UN convention against corruption, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, the Uganda National Development Plan, etc. The Awards were presided over by The Prime Minister of Uganda Hon. John Patrick Amama Mbabazi on 22/03/2013 at Imperial Royal hotel.
Uganda Revenue Authority (2006-2007)
TUganda Revenue Authority (URA) awarded ROKO Construction Ltd an award of recognition as the most complaint taxpayer for the financial year of 2006/07 under the construction sector. This was accompanied by a certificate.
